Arthur Monnoyer died from accidental injuries on 3rd October, 1916, while in England. The original 2/1st London battalion which had served in Gallipoli and Egypt was disbanded in June 1916 and the 3/1st London was redisignated as the 2/1st London. The new battalion moved to Sutton Veny in Wiltshire in July 1916 befor going to France in January of 1917.
